While volunteer-powered beach cleanup events are an integral part of combating litter and micro-plastics in lake and ocean environments, it’s very difficult and time-consuming for volunteers to find litter beneath the sand.
ECO-CLEAN SOLUTIONS is proud to announce the first deployment of the BEBOT in Lake Tahoe! The first of it’s kind on the west coast, it sustainably removes trash and debris hidden beneath the sand before it can get into the lake

ECO-CLEAN SOLUTIONS is piloting a multi-faceted strategy with Keep Tahoe Blue & the Tahoe Keys Marina to eliminate the spread of aquatic invasive weed fragments and floating debris. This battery-powered, motorized skimmer glides across the water’s surface, cleaning up litter and preventing new potential infestations.
Ultimately, this technology can serve as a model for other marina environments around the world that face invasive species challenges.
